“Products and services marked with the Protected Areas product label are primarily environmentally friendly and use natural materials, generally grown in the same protected area. Suppliers who have received this label assess their environmental impact and strive to reduce it. .

It is also a local production of small producers from the most remote and beautiful places in Lithuania. By purchasing it, you contribute to the development of the local economy, helping the village and protected areas to survive. Among other things, these products often reflect the cultural identity of a particular region, and the suppliers are allies of protected areas, actively involved in environmental initiatives, ”says Rita Grinienė, specialist at the non-governmental environmental organization Baltic Environmental Forum.

Special offers for Christmas gifts from protected areas can be found on the page www.gamtoje.org. The choice is varied: honey, tea, syrups, spices, bee bread, beeswax candles, apple cheese, nuts, Christmas toys, straw gardens, wristbands, socks, gloves, dolls, stuffed animals, unique entertainment in protected areas such as swamp with a fairy, excursions to the most beautiful places in Dzūkija, active rest in Aukštaitija or accommodation in an ethnographic farm.

“Suppliers who have received the Protected Areas product label grow or assemble products in a clean environment and also provide services in an environmentally friendly way,” says Diana Rakauskaitė, representative of the State Protected Areas Service. The protected areas product label – “Antytė” – was created in 2013. Its aim is to promote tourism and sustainable development.
