Due to the illegal metal smoke, four cases have so far been submitted to the Vilnius City District Court.
Vilnius Municipality is asking the court to remove the spirit of the obligated person. If this is not done, the municipality will take it away and the weapon will be left in the hands of uninitiated people, said SNB Edvardas Varoneckas, head of the Vilnius Municipality Legal Group.
The capital’s government has received information on 1,400 cases when owners delay or refuse to postpone steam.
A civilized settlement with the steam owners is definitely a more attractive option than litigation, but at the moment we see no other way to encourage them to follow the instructions of the municipality, said Danuta Narbut, deputy director of Municipal Administration.
At present, 4,647 metal vapors have been removed in Vilnius, more than 43% of which are still in the state.
Instead of moving steam, it is planned to create public recreation areas, build new roads for cars, pedestrians and cyclists.
