E. Dobrovolska commented on the show that despite all the criticism, this period also feels good, albeit tense, but interesting. It also brings experience. According to the Seimas member, he was not surprised to be offered his candidacy.

“It was all my conscious professional life that was in the field of justice, everything was logical and it was not an unexpected decision. When it comes to media attention, it is worth saying that this is a truly natural process in which both the public and the media want to get to know those candidates, especially those who are less familiar or known to a particular field.

“I think it is a natural process, and I am very happy that we are starting to talk about content today, which will certainly be more consistent when the government program is written,” she said.

The issue of education is also important in terms of content and consideration of Dobrovolska’s candidacy. The candidate is more concerned because she has only completed a bachelor’s degree and has not yet received a master’s degree.

“I have a university degree in law and in this case, it is clear that an education in this area is perfect. That discussion arose precisely because of the master’s degree that I have been studying, I simply did not write my thesis.

We probably now need to identify very clearly that, first of all, we are talking about a ministerial position, that is, a position of political trust, where, in essence, the main function is to realize the Government’s program and the political will of the coalition. My two professional skills are perfect for that and I am very familiar with the field of justice, contrary to what is positive from different sides ”.

According to her, she is not only represented in court, but also knows very well how the penitentiary department and prisons work, where she had to practice and see all actions from within.

“I also fully understand the fragmentation of communities, especially where we see speeches in public space. We are the ones who see disputes between communities, if we also look at the communities of judges, lawyers, we really understand that there are different interests and different approaches to things.

Furthermore, if we deepen regulation, we will be aware that there are unique communities in the field of justice that advocate for the greatest possible transparency and those that expect the greatest possible freedom from the institutional side for certain legal actions ”.

In his opinion, the latter is probably the reason why he has received such a huge stir focused on his staff.

“It just came to our attention then. This ministry has very clear and clearly unresolved problems for a long time or in terms of major reforms, but not in terms of content. It is obvious that this is a difficult area with different interests and visions.” .

He also said that he is not worried that his opinion does not coincide with that of the party, since so far he had managed to agree on everything perfectly.

Judicial corruption or homosexual marriage?

One of the listeners of “Žinių radio” asked the candidate, which problem is worth solving in the first place: corruption of judges or homosexual marriage?

“I find it very difficult to see the prioritization in one of these areas, because if we look archiveThen we see the problems of people sentenced to prison. We often talk about how we have many prisoners, but let’s see how many of them return to those institutions, so we should talk about those systemic problems. Of course we have justice archive, which includes judges, courts and here are completely different challenges that need to be addressed as well, from the burden to the individuals themselves. (…).

We also have archive, which speaks of the principle of the rule of law, which cannot be reduced, and now we are only talking about our neighbors Poland, Belarus. What does it really mean? If we talk about European and human rights cases, in which Lithuania has lost, where there is no dispute, there is simply a lack of legal regulation.

According to her, such an example could be the original spelling of personal names, the rights of transgender people, that is, those issues, explained E. Dobrovolska, where we really need to talk about the principle of the rule of law.

“The partnership is one of the issues that must be resolved, because now we have an absurd situation when we do not regulate existing relationships. We need to take a holistic view of justice. “

Speaking of her experience, she highlighted that she was not involved in staff cases, like many lawyers, but only represented in unregulated cases, so she has enough experience and saw the system from different angles. He also said that for both different and homogeneous association institute, you need to decide whether you need how to regulate and guidelines.

“The biggest mistake so far has been that regulation itself is an end in itself. That cannot be the case, and all decisions must involve all stakeholders and institutions.”
