The news portal tv3.lt recalls that a little earlier the police announced that a pedestrian had been fatally injured on the Vilnius-Klaipėda highway near Kaunas on Thursday night.
The police department reported that around 6 pm 30 minutes. The Toyota Corolla, driven by a 29-year-old woman, crashed and fatally injured a 36-year-old pedestrian on the highway.
A little later, it turned out that after hitting the pedestrian, she was crossed by another car.
The Lithuanian Highway Administration recalls that in autumn the darkness of the day becomes longer, so cyclists and scooters should ensure that their vehicle has a white light in the front, red in the rear and orange reflectors in radios. The road user himself must wear a brightly colored vest with light reflective elements, and pedestrians must wear reflectors during the dark hours of the day.
