40 cases of cigarette smuggling were stopped at Vilnius airport

According to officials, a plane arrived from Vilnius airport from Minsk on Monday night. The people had passed the SBGS inspection, but apparently avoided going to the customs control site, raising suspicions. Airport officials informed the SBGS about the suspicions, and officials from this service, after checking his luggage, found cigarettes with the excise stamps of the Republic of Belarus in 40 suitcases, customs said.

All persons and objects detected were handed over by SBGS officials to customs officials at the Vilnius airport post.

After customs control, customs officials at the Vilnius airport post detained 40 suitcases with cigarettes, and 7 Latvian citizens and 4 stateless persons, who admitted that part of the suitcases belonged to them, applied administrative responsibility measures (9 protocols, stopped cigarettes).
