The Freedom Party nominates Mitalas to be Vice Presidents of the Seimas

Seimas spokeswoman, leader of the Liberal Movement Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, confirmed that on Tuesday she plans to nominate the four candidates for the vacant vice-presidential positions.

Two candidates will be nominated by the Conservatives, one by the Freedom Party and the other by the opposition. The conservative Jurgis Razma, of the ruler, and the representative of the Labor Party, Andrius Mazuronis, of the opposition, have already been elected vice-presidents of the Seimas.

V. Mitalas was elected to the Seimas for the first term, previously he served as deputy mayor of Vilnius.

The Freedom Party has an 11-member faction in parliament.

After the Seimas elections, the ruling coalition was formed by the Lithuanian Christian National Democratic Union, the Liberal Movement and the Freedom Party.
