Police arrest criminal record after arresting a man who blew up the car of a Taurag politicianė

During the investigation of this incident, all the information received was intensively verified and the city’s video cameras were inspected, during which it was observed that the detainee did not comply with the characteristics of the explosives.

Police officers began searching for the suspect, and shortly thereafter, on Wednesday around noon, the man was born. In 1971, he was arrested.

The suspect is a resident of Tauragė District, he was already known to police, according to the Taurag County Police Reportė.

During the interrogation, the man confessed to having committed the crime, but police officers are still clarifying the motives.

A pre-trial investigation of this act has been initiated in accordance with article 187 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania. 2 d. For this, the man faces a fine or restriction of liberty, arrest or imprisonment for up to five years.

The exploited car belongs to Tomas Raulinavičius, Deputy Director of the Municipal Administration of the Tauragė District.

As the politician told the Tauragė courier service immediately after the incident, he has received no threat and does not know who might have done so.
