According to the politician, at the beginning of the term he intends to work in a mixed group of Seimas members, and then he hopes that a separate faction of individual parliamentarians will form.
“As a result, I will not join any faction yet. Also, the ‘social workers’ decided not to criticize the new government for 100 days and let it work,” said the politician.

Social Democrat Orinta Leiputė, who has 10 years of parliamentary experience, will be back in the Seimas after a four-year hiatus. He came here on the list of Social Democrats.
After a four-year hiatus, the experienced MP Armin Lydeka was re-elected to the new Seimas on the list of the Liberal Movement.
“The nation has decided that I have to continue working, there is a difficult situation in the country at the moment, we have returned to work. I was not impressed by the former ruling majority and the changes that have occurred in the last four years, those prohibitions, restrictions, ‘incarcerations’. A renewal is necessary, more attention must be paid to political culture, for the Seimas to elevate its authority as a national parliament, for the people elected by the nation and for that dignity to revive in the eyes of the citizens, ”said A. The politician recalled that he had worked in the Commissions for Human Rights, Foreign Affairs and European Affairs, so he believed that the experience gained would allow him to continue his work.
Laima Mogenienė, a former parliamentarian for the period 2004-2008, will hold the presidency of the Seimas for the second time according to the list of the Union of Greens and Peasants of Lithuania.
The former parliamentarian, former mayor of Biržai, businessman Valdemaras Valkiūnas, who returned to the Seimas after an eight-year hiatus, is considering the possibility of forming a faction in the new Seimas, in which other individual politicians would have joined the Seimas in an independent way.
“If everyone is united, there is an opportunity to establish a faction in which other individual politicians work,” Valkiūnas told Eltai.
He regrets that Lithuania went in the wrong direction during the elections because, according to him, there should have been more patriotic, national and pro-national forces here, and “everything was the other way around”.
The MP-elect also predicts that the coalition of the Conservatives, the Liberal Movement and the Freedom Party will last no longer than fall 2021.
