After the talks, the leader of the TS-LKD, Gabrielius Landsbergis, told the media that a vice president of the Conservative representatives, Jurgis Razma, had been agreed.

At that time, the Liberal Movement will be left without a vice president, as it has been agreed that the leader of this party, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, will become the leader of the Seimas. Three vice presidential positions will be assigned to the Conservatives and one to the Freedom Party. The first vice president position of the Seimas will also be assigned to the Conservatives.

“One thing is clear: tomorrow, the coalition factions will unanimously support Victoria’s candidacy for the presidency of Seimas.” We also agreed that two of their alternates would be provided. One from the ruling majority, one from the opposition. And the third thing is that we basically agreed on the proportions of the committees, ”Landsberg said.

Landsbergis said the other vice presidents of the Seimas will be presented to parliament for a decision next week.

“It just came to our attention then. The elected president of the Seimas will also have the opportunity to meet and discuss the candidacies with the factions,” said the head of TS-LKD.

According to the leader of TS-LKD, the committee fees were also divided. The Liberal Movement will have three committees and the Freedom Party two committees.

Delphi Remember that on Monday, the Conservative and two Liberals signed a coalition agreement. There is only one clear last name in him: the candidate for prime minister I. Šimonytė. The coalition has also decided that Viktorija Čmilytė – Nielsen, leader of the Liberal Movement, will be nominated as Spokesperson for the Seimas.

Aušrinė Armonaitė, leader of the Freedom Party, said after the meeting that it is not yet clear whether there are any candidates for vice-presidents of the party he leads.

“We will deal with the faction in the near future. Of course, we will wait for the introduction of the new Speaker of the Seimas. We have imagination, but there are 11 people in the faction of the Freedom Party, someone will become the head of the committees, someone he will be the oldest of the group, someone will go to the government. “We see the complete picture of our team in its entirety, so we will consider a little more together,” said the politician.

Soon there will be a full list of ministers

Prime minister candidate I. Šimonytė said late Thursday that the full list of ministerial candidates could be announced after the weekend.

“We just realized that I probably wouldn’t be able to publish the full list tomorrow. But it shouldn’t last longer than the weekend. Because they are still ongoing, I would say bilateral consultations on how best to take into account the interests of the coalition partners and how to propose the best candidates for positions with more than 1 candidate or candidates from more than one party. It will take some time, but not long, “said I. Šimonytė.

The politician said that he had discussed with the head of the country about future jobs, some surnames. However, no list has been provided, according to the prime ministerial candidate.

“Look, different names were mentioned. Including the names you write about are definitely not in my notes. The president closely monitors the public space and also asks if what is being heard, how much is being discussed. Naturally, many of those names were mentioned, ”said the politician.

He told the media that if it was clear which ministries were specifically chosen by the coalition partners, a list of names would be provided. And the quotas cannot change either, there is no debate about it.

At least two ministerial posts have been agreed for the Liberal Movement and three for the Freedom Party.

The ruling majority was expected to announce the names of prospective ministers before the Seimas members’ swearing-in, to be held on Friday. However, they have not been received.
