As of January 1. the price for consumers who buy electricity from the grid will increase by 4.5% (0.492 cents) to 11.393 cents per kilowatt-hour (excluding VAT)

The new energy prices for household consumers that consume less than 5,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity per year have been approved by the State Energy Regulatory Council (VERT).

Ignitis reports that the median price of electricity for many consumers will increase by 4.1 percent. (0.54 cents per kWh), and emissions from a statistical household that consumes an average of about 117 kWh of electricity per month will increase to 64 cents per month.

The new Ignis rates will apply to domestic customers not in the first stage of market liberalization or entering it, but before December 10. those who have not chosen an independent provider.

Right now, almost 100,000 household consumers have to choose an independent supplier, consuming around 420 kWh of electricity per month or paying for electricity at a standard rate of more than 60 Eur.
