The Seimas Foreign Ministry informed BNS on Tuesday that it was a preliminary estimate.

According to the Foreign Ministry, on September 21, the last document on the award of the rent was received from the widow of the president and signatory Algirdas Brazauskas.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also indicates that on September 14 it received a response from Sodra that K. Brazauskienė had no insured income from July 23, 2010 until the day of receiving the response.

The government will discuss the issue of rent allocation to K. Brazauskienė at a meeting on Wednesday.

The widow of A. Brazauskas requests the retroactive granting of the state pension of the signatory’s widows, as of July 23, 2010.

On Monday, K. Brazauskienė told BNS that he was seeking this rental because he had not received the president’s widow’s rent.

“I am not recognized as the president’s widow. I am someone’s widow,” said A. Brazauskas’s widow.

The spouse of a deceased signatory is entitled to the signatory’s widow’s pension.

The amount of the state’s widow’s and orphan’s pension is 25 percent of the state’s signer’s annuity and currently amounts to 331.11 euros per month.

Rent is not paid if the deceased signer’s spouse has insured income.

According to the Registry Center, K. Brazauskienė is a member of the boards of directors of Imperiva (Crown Plaza Vilnius Hotel) and Embex, but he told BNS that he no longer had a relationship with these companies led by his son Ernest Butrim.
