The head of the committee, a peasant Valius Ąžuolas, does not rule out the possibility of demanding that the Registration Center reconsider the fees.
“It must be restored to a degree of decency. It is possible to increase the price between 20 and 50%, but not 500%, ”V. Ąžuolas told BNS.
According to the chairman of the committee, the prices of registered inherited properties, properties in general, are the ones that have increased the most.
“It just came to our attention then. It has risen dramatically from 3 to 17 euros, and it has become cheaper for companies ”, the parliamentarian was outraged.
“Notaries say that people no longer register inherited property en masse. He declares that he wants to accept the inheritance, but leaves it without registering it ”, added V. Ąžuolas.

“We will explain to the detective how these increases came about,” said the head of the committee.
According to V. Ažuolas, the auditors’ conclusions cost the Registry Center more than 20 thousand. The increase in fees will cost the institution between 6 and 7 million euros. income in euros.
The government approved new rates for the Registry Center services in July, which had been unchanged for a decade. The Ministry of Justice then announced that with the approval of new fees to register the ownership of an apartment or house, mortgaging real estate will cost significantly cheaper than before.
Meanwhile, after the fees came into effect, the Chamber of Notaries announced that the prices of the most frequently rendered services from the Registry Center have increased two to five times since October.
The registration or cancellation of a building, for example, has risen 5.12 times in price, from € 2.90 in October, to € 14.85 since October, and a land, 5.91 times, from 2.9 € to € 17.15. with real estate, property rights over it and restrictions on these rights 2.82 times – from 2.90 euros to 8.19 euros. In 2019, almost 35 thousand 49 thousand of those three transactions were registered. and 554 thousand.
Mindaugas Samkus, a representative from the Records Center, previously told BNS that all new fees are based on actual costs.
“Prices have been set in accordance with the methodology approved by the Government for calculating remuneration, based on the findings of independent experts, the international auditing company Deloitte Lietuva, and evaluated by the Communications Regulatory Authority, which issued a positive opinion on compliance with legal acts, “said Samkus.
According to him, about 80 percent cheaper. the prices of all the administrative and public services provided by the center, and the prices of some of the most important electronic services, have even been reduced several times.
However, he acknowledged that some services had become more expensive.
