Is it really the case in Lithuanian politics that you are elected a member of the Seimas, but seeing that the ruling coalition will not be elected by your party, you can just wash your hands and transfer the trust of the people to a colleague who wants to work more in the Seimas?
A.Guoga participated in these Seimas elections with the Labor Party. Its electoral politician has been ranked first on the list, but that does not necessarily mean that Guoga will represent the people in parliament.
Tuesday morning 15 minutes He stated that he had not yet decided whether to take the oath in Lithuania on Friday and start working at the Seimas.
“It just came to our attention then. There is still time to consider before Friday.” 15 minutes admitted A.Guoga.

When asked why something should be considered once elected, A.Guoga said: “Always… I didn’t win a single member, that is, you know… Only if I refuse, change the place on the list. That’s what I’m considering I guess. (…) Actually, the decision is not final yet. There is definitely no desire to take a chair or something, you have to think about it now, to see what is possible, how it comes out here, how it is formed … Tomorrow there will be a party council.
Asked what makes him doubt, A.Guoga assured that it was necessary to decide if “it is useful.”
“Maybe there are better ones somewhere who want to work more actively. Let’s see. I will make that decision. This is very normal. There are no hesitations or doubts, there is simply a stage in which a decision must be made before Friday, ”said A.Guoga.
I just look at him from my side. Whether it’s Skardžius or someone else, it makes no difference.
He would replace A. Skardžius
If A.Guoga resigned, the former Social Democrat who now works in parliament, a “social worker” and now an “employee” Artūras Skardžius would become a member of the Seimas.
When asked if he had spoken to A. Skardžius about it, A.Guoga assured that he did not care who would replace him.
“It just came to my attention then. Whether it’s Skardžius or someone else, there is no difference. But let’s see, let’s see how the party feels. The Council will say,” – said A.Guoga.

“I doubt it’s not the right word, but now I’m in the office. No question. I tend to swear, but I’m in the office. And we talked to my wife about how to do it. There is no final solution,” he said.
Here’s the joke. There may be some conspiracy theory.
A. Skardžius himself spoke about the possibility of A.Guoga giving him a place in the Seimas with 15 minutes nesileido.
“I’m hearing this from you for the first time (that A.Guoga is considering resigning – Past ed.). I’ve never heard of it. Here’s the joke. There may be some conspiracy theory. Sorry, no I can speak now, “said A. Skardžius and said goodbye.
When asked if A.Guoga had not spoken to him about it, the Seimas member assured that he really did not.
L. Kukuraitis hesitated, but it will work
For his part, the current Minister of Social Security and Labor, Linas Kukuraitis, who participated in the Seimas elections with the Lithuanian Union of Greens and Peasants and publicly discussed whether he really wanted to work at Seimas, decided not to resign.
“Yes, I will work (in the Seimas – past ed.). On the continuity of the social policy initiated”, – 15 minutes stated L. Kukuraitis.

Along with A.Guoga, they are among eleven politicians who have not yet revoked the certificates of a member of the Seimas.
The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) distributed them to newly elected MPs a week ago. However, not all MPs were able to attend the ceremony.
According to Laura Matjošaitytė, president of the CEC, not only Antanas Guoga and Linas Kukuraitis, but also nine other Seimas members of the new mandate have not withdrawn their certificates so far. They are the liberals Juozas Baublys, the representatives of the Freedom Party Vytautas Mitalas and Silva Lengvinienė, the “worker” Vigilijus Jukna, the self-proclaimed Petras Gražulis, the conservatives Radvilė Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė and the prime minister candidate Ingrida Šimonytė.
Conservatives Justas Džiugelis and Paulius Saudargas have also not withdrawn their certificates due to illness.
“No, we have no information that anyone should resign. S.Lengvinienė and V.Jukna have already announced when they will come. Apparently, everyone will withdraw it on Friday, because those certificates will be necessary to vote,” said the president of the CEC.
