You can see the signing of the coalition agreement and comments from politicians here:
The coalition agreement was signed in the Seimas by Gabrielius Landsbergis, president of the TS-LKD, Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, leader of the Liberal Movement, and Aušrinė Armonaitė, leader of the Freedom Party.
I.Šimonytė observed the signing of the agreement from outside, together with other representatives of the coalition partners.
After the party leaders signed the treaty, there was applause in the Seimas Constitution Hall.
Let me know when you agree
After the signing of the coalition agreement, the future rulers did not reveal who or what positions could occupy in the future government and the new Seimas.
“We will announce it as soon as we agree. Now we announce what has been agreed and signed: that my candidacy for the post of Prime Minister will be proposed. No other candidacy has been agreed,” said I. Šimonytė.

She hopes that negotiations on the posts will begin soon, as it depended on the signing of a coalition agreement.
“I think we will find time for the three parties and we can meet and discuss how to discuss more about the specific personnel,” explained the future prime minister.
I think we will find time for all three parties and we can meet and discuss how to promote debate on specific personalities.
According to I. Šimonytė, the proportions of the posts have yet to be agreed.
Certain things, let’s say that the president of the Seimas and the prime minister have “more weight”, are mentioned in the treaty.
“Anyway, there is an objectively existing size, which is defined as a certain proportion of the size of the fractions. This, of course, will completely ignore that relationship. But I hope people don’t round numbers to decimals either, because people don’t like news. We will simply seek that consensus that is comfortable enough for all coalition partners, “said the candidate for prime minister.

When some commentators said that the division of positions between the coalition partners would initiate the real breaking of the spears, I. Šimonytė said:
“You will not get it, as a joke said. There will certainly be debate. So far there have been discussions. It seems to me that the fact that we have an agreement today shows that, despite the debate, despite the fact that sometimes there are different approaches or different possibilities of making commitments on one topic or another, it is still possible to find a wording that captures the best will to achieve one result or another “.
You won’t get it, as a joke used to say. There will certainly be debate. So far there have been discussions.
According to I. Šimonytė, before the first session of the Seimas of the new term on Friday, the new governors intend to reach an agreement as much as possible.
“If we can at least reach a preliminary agreement, let’s say, because not all, but most of the members of the government, it will be good,” he said.
Promises strong candidates
According to V.Čmilytė-Nielsen, about 80-90 percent of the provisions of the Liberal Movement program have found a place in the coalition agreement and are expected to be implemented.

“It just came to us then. But I really trust how we successfully discuss and find a common solution in the first stage, as well as find good common solutions and talk about personalities in the second stage.” We will definitely present strong and competent candidates from the Liberal Movement and I think we will find a common solution, “he commented after signing the coalition agreement.
The Liberal Movement has nominated several candidates. V.Čmilytė-Nielsen has said that he will apply for the position of Spokesperson for the Seimas.
Simonas Gentvilas and Simonas Kairys, vice presidents of the party, could be nominated for the ministers of Environment, Economy and Innovation.

“The names of the candidates have not changed. But, of course, this is a compromise solution and it is very important how during the negotiations we can reach an agreement with the coalition partners, both”, emphasized V. Čmilytė-Nielsen .
20 candidate names
After signing the coalition agreement, A. Armonaitė explained that the content is very important to the Freedom Party.
He said the party has released its full package of proposals. The five priorities set by the Freedom Party have been included in the coalition agreement.

“Now we are waiting for the government program to be formed, and we hope that 80 or 90 percent of the proposals that we have made – we have a word for partners – will be based on the government program.” Of course, what matters is who will implement it and how. This is what I have presented to the Prime Minister: to designate about 20 names of candidates for ministers in various fields. We are not stuck in any chair, we want the best possible candidates, who have the support of the coalition partners, the prime minister and the president, to occupy those positions ”, commented A. Armonaitė.
I have submitted to the Prime Minister designate some 20 names of candidates for ministers in various fields.
According to her, it is very important to agree on the leadership of the Seimas for Friday, because it is chosen during the first session.
The most important job is the government program.
After signing the coalition agreement, G. Landsbergis thanked the partners for a quick, efficient and constructive process.

“We had a little more than a week of discussions, two rounds of negotiations. It seems to me that both the public have found out what we are discussing as well as the group document. Now they expect several more stages. The discussion is different about the positions, about the personalities who will occupy what positions, “said the president of TS-LKD.
According to G.Landsbergis, the most important work ahead is the Government program. Future governors should start working on it soon.
Traded for more than a week
Negotiations on a new coalition lasted less than a few weeks. The draft of the coalition agreement was released Thursday night.
In the draft agreement, the parties indicate how they will form a Government and distribute the portfolios of ministers, what values will guide the government and what jobs will be on their agenda..
“We will restore people’s trust in politics by personal example,” say the coalition parties.
