On Thursday, the Minister of Culture Mindaugas Kvietkauskas presented a plan to the Government, according to which it is planned to allow an increasing number of participants in massive events in stages during the summer months.
“900 would be the maximum number of people allowed for events in open spaces. This means that thousands of large-scale events, as well as massive festivals, cannot be planned during the summer months. We are forced to make such restrictions for understandable reasons: the fight against the virus in Lithuania, “Minister of Culture Mindaugas Kvietkauskas told reporters.
You will have to keep a distance
It is true that the participants of the event, both in open and closed spaces, must maintain a set distance from each other.
“Events in closed spaces must be established at a distance of at least two meters between participants and the duration of events must be kept to a minimum. Events in open spaces must take place at a distance of at least one meter between people” said the minister.
It is also planned that from June 1. Indoor event space cannot be filled more than 30% and effective July 1. – no more than 50% The possible number of participants.
“These are important guidelines. At the same time, they were adopted on the condition that the plan be implemented in stages, taking into account the pandemic situation in Lithuania. If the situation changes, the plan may be revised or canceled,” said M Kvietkauskas.
In July – up to 900 people
At a meeting on Wednesday, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a plan for publishing events: Starting in June, events would be allowed indoors with 100 participants and outdoors with 300 participants. Later, every two weeks, the number of potential participants would increase by 50 participants indoors and 200 participants abroad.
It is proposed to the Government that it establish that from June 1, it is allowed to hold events in open spaces with 300 participants, from June 16 to 500, from July 1 to 700, from July 16 to 900.
From June 1, it would be possible to organize events with 100 participants, from June 16 to 150, from July 1 to 200, from July 16 to 250, from August 1 to 300, from August 16 to 350.
The proposals will take effect in stages only after they have been approved by a government resolution, with the first releases to be decided at a government meeting next week.
