At the beginning of Laisvės Alley, on the stairs leading to Vytautas Park, attention is drawn to the bright purple painted building. Kaunas residents have such ambiguous feelings, and city representatives admitted that such a transformation was not coordinated.
Valentinas from Kaunas approached the editorial staff of the kauno.diena.lt portal and shared her observations about the purple building in the city center. The man claimed that a brick house had stood on the Vytautas park stairs for many years, but had recently been repainted purple. Now the object is attracting the attention of passersby from afar.
“A house so purple has been welcoming passersby here for maybe a month. Notes, but it seems quite strange that the color violet was chosen. Most people know what movement this is associated with, at least it might having been able to choose a neutral color, although it didn’t bother me when it was gray. Or maybe a special purple color, after all the Seimas elections were taking place, maybe they wanted to attract voters here. I don’t know what it really is, but it seems weird, “shared Valentinas.

Or maybe a special purple color, after all, the Seimas elections were taking place, maybe they wanted to attract voters here. I don’t know how it really is, but it seems strange.
The portal kauno.diena.lt wondered what the brick object was used for next to the Vytautas stairs and if it was painted purple according to the instructions of the city, or if someone did it arbitrarily. Donatas Valiukas, head of the real estate department, confirmed that the building belongs to the city of Kaunas, but the issue of painting this object was not agreed with the municipality.
It is said that in the past tickets to the attractions that operated in Vytautas Park were sold on this object, but the building has not been used for some time. D.Valukas stated that the question of what to do with said property is being resolved, it is not excluded that the object can be sold at auction or withdrawn. However, the fate of the building is still unclear.
