This week, the “peasants”, the “social workers” and LLRA-KŠS who ruled the Seimas registered a draft resolution entitled “On the investigation before the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania”.
Politicians are looking to the CC to assess whether the “All the best, Woldemortai” campaign launched by public figure Andrius Tapinas during the Seimas elections and the violations in the Paneriai – Grigiškės single-member electoral district had a significant impact on the Seimas elections.
It is true that the Seimas Legal Department pointed out that it was not the time: the deadlines for submitting a request to the CC with a request for violation of the Seimas Electoral Law expired this Tuesday, that is, 72 hours after the Central Electoral Commission approved the final results of the Seimas elections.
Ramūnas Karbauskis, the leader of the “farmers”, assured that this was not a problem.
“The Constitutional Court will decide what to do with it. It is no longer our duty here,” he commented on Thursday before the Seimas session.
R. Karbauskis explained that the president of the Seimas Viktoras Pranckietis did not react in time to the LLRA-KŠS complaint.
“According to the Constitution, it had to be done on time, the Speaker of the Seimas had to do his duty, but he did not do it at the time the appeal was received,” he explained.
“This ruling will explain why the Constitutional Court did not receive this appeal in 48 hours,” added the ruling leader.
The rulers tried to organize an unscheduled session of the Seimas due to the appeal to the CC, however The Seimas Board decided that there was no reason for this – The politicians did not get the necessary signatures for the meeting.
The LLRA-KŠS had previously come forward regarding the results of the Seimas elections and the appeal to the CC to the president of the Seimas V. Pranckietis and the president Gitanas Nausėdas, but both rejected the party’s request.
According to the LLRA-KŠS, the campaign started by A. Tapinas to prevent the party from entering parliament seriously violated the Seimas Elections Law.
The Central Election Commission stated that the “Todo Bien, Voldemortai” campaign and the “Todo Bien, Valdemarai” publication were negative LLRA-KŠS advertisements, but did not violate the electoral campaign law, since neither A. Tapinas nor “Laisvės TV “They participated in the political campaign.
A. Tapinas assured that he did not violate any legal act.
