The Vilnius branch of the Migration Department opened the doors of the new premises to customers, from October 28. Migration services in the capital are provided at a new address: Vytenio str. 18. The first customers, as promised, were seen immediately after noon; Both new and regular clients of the Migration Department were amazed by the modern and pleasant surroundings.
“I am glad that the Vilnius branch of the Migration Department is moving to new premises. I wish only satisfied customers would always come here so there would be no interruptions. I know that the Migration Department works in many conditions, often difficult, so that it is very important for us, the managers, to ensure good working conditions and we work for that. There has been a long road since the reform and I am glad that the Migration Department is becoming a modern organization that meets expectations ” said Interior Minister Rita Tamašunienė.
Interior Minister Rita Tamašunienė, who participated in the opening ceremony of the new Vilnius branch premises, was pleased to have managed to improve working conditions for employees and create more favorable service conditions for customers. The minister thanked the staff for their ability to adapt to the difficult quarantine conditions and, wishing them success in the new stage, together with Deputy Minister Tautvydas Tamulevičius, presented the Vilnius branch manager Artūras Gromovas with a miniature tree, which promises stability, harmony and vitality for new homes.
Evelina Gudzinskaitė, Director of the Migration Department, together with the employees of the Vilnius branch, welcomed the first customers, enjoyed a smooth first day, comfortable workplaces, a secure customer service area and thanked your colleagues and dedicated owners for your installation. Special comments were also made to Minister R. Tamašunienė and Deputy Minister T. Tamulevičius, who paid close attention to improving the quality of work, delved into the needs of the Department of Migration and helped implement the team’s ideas.
“Thank you for being together all the time, for supporting us in doing what was important to all of us,” said E. Gudzinskaitė. “This department is designed so that the department can operate in accordance with its basic principles: pay attention to customers, work with quality, use the latest technological solutions, rely on teamwork.”
The premises of the Vilnius branch of the Department for New Migrations have already been named exemplary. They are distinguished by a space, a comfortable customer service room for people of various social groups: children, the elderly, the disabled, a large number of reception boxes, new personal biometric data recording equipment and a queue management system, and buttons to measure the quality of customer service.
The Migration Department reminds: the new address of the Vilnius branch is Vytenio str. 18, only clients who comply with security requirements and admission procedures are seen during quarantine.
