Paluck told reporters gathered at the headquarters of the Social Democrats.
This is probably the worst electoral result in the entire history of the Social Democratic Party. According to G. Paluckas, so far it is not relevant to talk about the elections. On Monday, members of the new Socialist Group will talk about which committees they want to work on, what will be the party’s position in next year’s budget.
“And we will solve our problems in the coming months and during next year’s congress,” said the Social Democratic leader.
According to him, conclusions should not be rushed until they can be affected by a “whirlwind of emotions.”
In the Utena district, where G. Paluckas competes with the conservative Edmundas Pupinis, the fight unfolds point by point. The socialist president praises his personal performance in the second round.

When asked if he would lose after losing just one member, Paluck raised his tone.

Before the second round of elections, Paluck voiced his support for peasant candidates where there were no LSDP candidates. According to the leader of the Social Democratic Party, it is too early to talk about working together with the peasants. If the peasants invite the coalition, according to Paluck, the decision will be made at the level of the entire party.
“There is a high probability of working in the opposition,” Paluck said.
The leader of the Social Democrats has said before the elections that Ramūnas Karbauskis should apologize if the Social Democrats do not support the Conservatives in the second round.

However, according to Paluck, there are no coalitions yet, so we must wait for the final results. The Social Democrats have not received any invitation to join the coalition, he said.
“We have not spoken to any right wing or liberal about coalitions,” Paluck said.
G. Paluckas stated that he was very surprised by the performance of Tomas Bičiūnas in Kėdainiai as a single member.
“It just came to our knowledge then. I think it surprised not only us, but also Kėdainiai and himself,” said G. Paluckas.
According to preliminary data, the LSDP wins 7 single-member electoral districts after the second round of the elections. In the first round of the elections, in the multinominal constituency, the Social Democrats gathered 9.25 percent. voters and secured 8 seats.
