More than a week ago, the news of an unprecedented contest called an unprecedented “influencers” appreciation campaign for followers. People who wanted to participate had to follow the stories of the competition and people like Natalija Bunkė, Gerda Žemaitė, Gintarė Gurevičiūtė or Paulius Morkūnas on the program. He also had to share the news of the contest, meet a few more conditions.
However, this competition started by “influencer” J.Žižė has been involved in scandals from the beginning. At first he It came to be called follower buying, criticized for awards such as breast plastic surgery. Later, the discussion escalated because the main prize, the BMW X3, is J.Žižė’s car, who bought a used one in the US, and some “influencers” who agreed to participate in the competition had to pay 500 euros each.

The contest winners were selected on October 19. It became clear who would receive the BMW X3 and other minor awards, who became the contenders for breast plastic surgery. It would seem that after choosing the winners, the storms had to calm down. But that was not the case.
The competition was called opaque, it was required to re-elect the winner, because Internet users revealed that Lukas Abeciūnas, who won the BMX X3, owns a company that helps buy cars brought from the United States. The car donated by J.Žižė was also brought from the US, which raised suspicions in some of the people who witnessed the competition.
It wasn’t just that that made them suspicious. There were those who claimed that the winner had not met the necessary conditions to receive the prize, as well as those who wondered how quickly the organizers of the contest contacted L. Abeciūnas, as if they already had his telephone number in advance.

I tell myself that competitions are not transparent
L. Abeciūnas 15 minutes He said that a friend of his heart had participated in the competition: the first met the requirements and then Luke did the same. It is true, he affirms at the beginning that he doubted to participate; tells me that the competition is possibly opaque. Only the winner changed his mind.
– About 20 thousand people participated in the contest. Did you expect victory?
– Emotions are not understood, I still do not believe them. I didn’t think at all about being chosen. My man here needs to be grateful, because he called me to participate, and I was kicking, I said, I would still choose something of my own But I decided that no one would give in on my head anyway, and I participated.
Sunday was just my birthday. But this year it’s nothing during that coronavirus, I was sitting at work that day, I didn’t call anyone, I didn’t want any attention. Clearly, I dreamed of a car as a fun gift.
And the next day, Monday, so inadvertently delighted, a surprise occurred. I didn’t believe it and it’s still hard to believe.
– Have you followed that before?
– Never. Unless there was a euro or two of the lottery tickets, but a big win for me and my girlfriend is the first. And completely unexpected, so now we are still not recovered, after a sleepless night.
After such a year, all those events in Lithuania, salvation for us here. This is probably my only award in life. I never believed in competitions like this, but now I’m really starting to believe that you don’t cheat and that it really is possible.

He denies talking about dishonesty and connections with J.Žiže
– I will not hide – I want to talk not only about beautiful things. How do you rate the rumors that you were unfairly chosen the winner? Did you really meet all the requirements of the competition?
– I read on the Discord server and heard elsewhere that it was agreed that it was unfair. Which just wasn’t. But I don’t know, they asked me to send proof that I met the conditions, that’s all I gathered. I remember maybe a week ago I followed everything I needed, shared the records, I understand that I met the conditions.
I really don’t even imagine how to react. It feels like you’ve won, and now you don’t know if you won.
– You have a company specialized in cars. He won a car that also came from the US, which his company does. Are there such coincidences?
– I admit that the coincidence is really unspoken. After all, I won right after my birthday, and the company we do that at … The coincidence is great, but it just came out, a very funny situation. As far as I know, the team itself laughed at it happening.
– People were also struck by the fact that after the announcement of the winner, the organizers contacted you a few minutes later, as if they knew in advance where to call.
– I saw the start of the transmission, but it was never possible to keep watching because I was driving and the phone started downloading. But soon everyone started calling me, saying that I would quickly connect the broadcast because they mentioned me. I turn on and see that my Instagram name is written.
Maybe three percent remained on the phone, but I quickly started writing everywhere: for the contest, Žižė’s accounts. Three minutes later they asked me if I could give my number. I sent. The live broadcast started again and soon they called me. He was on his way home at the time. I was shocked and started screaming when I hung up.
– This competition was scandalous from the beginning. How did you react when you found yourself at the epicenter of the scandal?
– There are two sides. Some began to say that it was staged. Added to all the nonsense, I owe it to a millionaire. So the flip side is that I didn’t meet all the conditions. I think that no matter who had won, they would have followed the same ways of the cross.
There was a night of insomnia, nerves and joy. All in a pile, I don’t even know. Winning is just as rewarding, but everything that happens crosses a bit of the negative.
– What do you think of the criticism of this contest in general?
– As far as I understand, there were problems in the process. But the end is shocking because it touched me, my privacy. They all started taking my photos, information about me, writing.
– Another important question: have you had any connection with the contest initiator Julija Žiže or with other organizers before?
– Of all those who had to follow, I knew, for example, Bunke, but I do not know anyone personally.
Julia didn’t know much at all. Maybe I only saw it in one place: the “X factor.” No more anywhere before that.

– Who will drive the car, you or a friend at heart who took you to participate?
– I think we’ll share it. Let’s rejoice together. An expensive car will even be scary to leave it somewhere.
– Have you driven a BMW before?
– You had to drive all kinds of cars, but as a staff this will be one of the most expensive.
– Aren’t you afraid that the winner could be re-elected in the event of a stir? Or maybe you already know for sure that the car is yours?
– Of course, it would be sad to say ‘oh, sorry, “winners”, but on Tuesday they checked again if I really met all the conditions, and by phone they told me that the documents would be ready at the end of the week. Then I can pick up the car. Until I saw it, there was still excitement, hard to believe.
– And doesn’t it hinder you, as the winner, that the car is not new?
– It has minimal defects, it is not perfect, but, as they say, the donated horse does not look at the teeth. Its value is above 10,000 euros, but even if it’s worth 3,000 euros, I think I’d still be happy to accept it. It definitely does not cross the fact that it is not new, driven.
