“Starting Tuesday morning, Turkish forces began to withdraw from the largest observation post in Mork, a rural Hamas area, one of dozens in northwestern Syria since 2018. Ramis Abdel Rahman, head of the Syrian Observatory UK-based Human Rights Commission (SOHR), said

“8 of Turkey’s 12 main monitoring stations are currently in Syrian-controlled areas,” he said.

Carrots are controlled by the Syrian regime.

Rahman said Turkey would resign under a ceasefire agreement reached with Russia in March, which ended fighting between the Moscow-backed Syrian regime and insurgents fighting on the Turkish side.

Activists have reported that Turkish forces will also withdraw from the Shir Maghar area in Hamas province, as well as from a military post east of Sarakebo city in rural Idlib.

Turkey is expected to leave posts in the coming weeks in both rural Aleppo and rural eastern and southeastern Idlib. The activists emphasized that Turkey claims positions south of the city of Idlib.
