According to Š. Remaining, it may not be so easy for conservatives and liberals to come to an agreement, and the division of positions could generate tensions even within the party.

“Relations there (in the Conservative Party – Delphi) are usually tense, toxic, so there will be enough of those who want to be ministers there for each position,” believes the political scientist.

“The Čmilytė Liberal Party has also suffered at the time from the conservatives who tried to become a liberal party. Let us remember what happened in 2016, when that corruption scandal took place. There are mutual tensions, the question of how to reach a agreement and to what extent these personalities have had an effect, ”says Š. Liekis.

He thinks that the leaders of the liberal parties are simply fooling themselves into talking to who will or will not be in the coalition at the moment.

“In 18 electoral districts, they face the conservatives in the second round, obviously they are not interested in talking about a future coalition since the tensions will disappear. They will try to speak fluently until the last moment. Harmony has been doing this since the beginning. She says she will probably try to stay independent. But this is an obvious trick, because they will definitely do it differently ”, Š. Liekis.

However, the Freedom Party, in his opinion, could be negotiated not only by forming the so-called center-right coalition.

“I think both sides will talk to the Freedom Party. The right ones need a strong and convincing majority. On the other hand, many of the Freedom Party positions it expresses are leftistinium common links can be found ”, says the political scientist in Delfi Day.

“It just came to our notice then. If we usually have left-wing populism (the Labor Party tried to blame it), then we have right-wing populism here. You need time to squat, to gain clearer ideological parameters, which apart from good marketing They haven’t shown yet, ”he says.

According to him, TS-LKD’s joy at the success of the first round of the elections in general is not entirely justified.

“His victory was determined by the failure of the Polish election campaign, which was 0.17 percent short. If they had received 5%, the game would have looked completely different. It is a little coincidence that we have a puzzle like this, ”explains the political scientist.

He adds that the second round could change the situation drastically, so that the ruling majority will not necessarily be made up of conservatives and liberals.
