In a public Facebook post, V. Navickas expressed his support for the conservative Radvile Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė, who was fighting the Prime Minister in the single-member Pilaitė-Karoliniškės constituency.
„S. The policy of the Skvernelis government was exactly what led me to return to Lithuania and get involved in politics. Lithuanian borders were opened for the massive importation of cheap labor from the east.
The weakening of the state in the name of “billions of millions” has led to the defeat of the presidential campaign. Hypocrisy in the introduction of supposedly progressive taxes that actually reduced the tax burden on the majority of wage earners. Distribution of billions loaned at will, without any approval from the Seimas. I could continue, ”writes V. Navickas, who does not belong to the party but is number 15 on the Social Democratic electoral list.
He explained his decision to support R. Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė.
“Lithuania will be more financially transparent and stronger with Radville and the Union of the Fatherland in the ruling majority. Therefore, I support Radvilė,” says V. Navickas.
At the same time, the economist thanked the voters who supported him, who, according to V. Navickas, “voted for the renewal of the Social Democrats, not for the coalition with Karbauskis and Uspaskich.”
“Unfortunately this time we lacked strength,” added Navickas.
ELTA recalls that after LSDP president Gintautas Paluckas publicly declared that Social Democrats would support the candidates of the Lithuanian Union of Peasants and Greens in the second round, LSDP member Liutauras Gudžinskas, a political scientist who had run for Seimas elections, he expressed his support for the Conservatives.
“Where the representatives of TS-LKD and LVŽS compete, I would still ask for support for the conservatives. No matter how you look at it, the LVŽS is a one-party enterprise run by an oligarch that has repeatedly tried to wash the foundations of democratic institutions. during this four-year term. And the fact that he implemented a billion-per-million tax reform also shows his focus on the public sector. Finally, the fact that he did not even try to put together his own program, but instead told him about it. he stole from state institutions, it shows that the party has neither intelligence nor self-esteem, ”L. Gudžinskas wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
According to him, the “peasants”, in any case, are a party controlled by a single oligarchy. It is true that in the aforementioned single-member Pilaitė-Karoliniškės constituency, L. Gudžinskas expressed his support for S. Skvernelis “because of his competence”.
