In the first seven minutes of the fourth quarter, “Žalgiris” spent only six points. Joffrey Lauvergne was able to compare the score, but could not load the basket. On the next attack, the opponents responded with a successful set.

About 90 seconds later, Thomas Walkup cut Žalgiris’ deficit to one point by three points. Later, R. Jokubaitis was able to surpass the result, but his triple was inaccurate.

Olympiacos’ next attack was imprecise and Žalgiris had the ball with 24 seconds left.

Marius Grigonis shot, but R. Jokubaitis recovered the ball with 3.5 seconds left, caused a foul and put Žalgiris ahead with free throws.

Kaunas won despite losing 13 points out of three of 19 and making 15 errors.

In the next round, Žalgiris will host the Chimki team from the Moscow region.
