“This celebration was very important to us,” after the ceremony of the baptism of his daughter Milos, Kaunas St. Dancer Saulius Skambinas and his beloved Živilė Barzdaitytė said in the Church of the Virgin Mary the Queen of the Rosary.
The girl’s godparents were the people closest to the couple: Saulius’s brother, Andrius, and Živilė’s sister, Aistė.
Milai was chosen as the patroness of knowledge and philosophy, St. The name of Catherine’s baptism.
“Baptism is now a combination of two traditions: the old and the new. In preparation for the celebration, we spoke with many friends with children, asked for advice and discussed how to do it so that we and our guests can remember the day,” said S Skambinas.

Milos’ parents said they were most interested in the meaning and traditions of baptism on the Why Not Events team that organized the important celebration.
“One of the clearest recommendations that” occupied “us for a week was related to the ancestors of our family, we had to ask them what was important in baptism half a century or more ago,” said the interlocutors with a smile.
It was by talking to the long-lived that Živilė and Saulius learned of a ritual, about which clues were later found on the Internet.
“There were an incredible number of symbols in the past. Every action meant something. For example, sweets were transported to church and distributed to everyone who gathered so that the Baptist would be friendly and have many friends. It was important not to forget anything. at home, taking the child out the window instead of the door before leaving, going to the ceremony site by the straightest path, putting a coin in the child’s clothing, helping beggars and many other things. So people wished the baby a safe, healthy, rich and happy life, ”said S. Skambinas.

He was fascinated by the fact that the baptisms were being prepared for more than one day; all the rituals required a lot of time and attention. One of the most important rites was to take the child to a place where his parents wanted to live.
“I’ve never heard anything like this before, but ‘I got hooked’ on that thought. I became interested in what was happening in Kaunas and found something special, ”said Milos’s father.
In the sprawling settlement of Noreikiškės, there is a NOA neighborhood, where the infrastructure is being completed, but the construction of the house has not yet started.
“There is also a romantic and probably the most magical place in the head: a kissing terrace.” It floats on the water and is accessed by a wooden staircase that cuts through the lush foliage of the trees. It is like Kaunas and not even Lithuania. It is reminiscent of Switzerland; mountainous place, trees, water and a special feeling ”, said S. Skambinas.

The real estate professional was assured – a place you really want to live in – with wide, mountainous and safe streets, a local commercial area where you can travel with a dreamy head to buy breakfast of croissants, a kindergarten where the young cuttings will walk in just minutes, shared sports fields and parks that bring neighbors together for a pleasant conversation or an intriguing game. Here houses will be built with common architectural details. Such an idea encompasses NOA’s identity: a slow, quiet but modern life.
“Not all rituals may come true, but I believe in the power of thoughts and good wishes. And Mila, like the older Maja, I only want the best, ”said the dancer who visited the kissing terrace with Živile and her daughter.
To make the baptism as successful as possible, more ceremonies were organized: a baptismal drink from an ice cup, a girl thrown into the air, and godparents perched on a stone. All this took place in a very picturesque place in Palemon, at the altar.

The second part of the festival is mentioned in Karmėlava. Inga Budrienė took care of the decoration here.
Živilė smiles – Mila fell asleep during part of the festivities, when the oaths of the grandparents, the obligations of the baptismal parents were read, the wish book was filled and the wealth of the baptismal box was inspected. But when she woke up, she was especially interested in a cake reminiscent of a sparkly mint and pink dress and trim.
“Everything was for the children: teddy bears, candy, balloons. We felt like the heroes of a fairy tale,” said Milos’ parents.
According to them, the feast of the baptism was really welcoming and meaningful. The way you really wanted.
