The team is scheduled to play its first game on October 6 and 13. In the NKL clubhouse squares, the second leg matches in the Betsafe – LKL team home arenas are scheduled for October 20 and 27.
The two winners of the pair will automatically advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament. These will be the teams that topped last season.
If all six Betsafe-LKL teams win in the first round of the KMT, Juventus (fifth place last season) and CBet (sixth place) will automatically advance to the quarterfinals.
The remaining four teams that win in the first round will meet in the second round. The four teams will be paired and will play two games at home and away.
In the quarterfinals, the four strongest clubs from the previous season will join the four teams that have passed the national team: Kaunas “Žalgiris”, Vilnius “Rytas”, Panevėžys “Lietkabelis” and Klaipėda “Neptūnas”.
The Citadele KMT final four will take place in 2021. February 13-14.
