The two winners of the pair will automatically advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament. These will be the teams that topped last season.
Therefore, if all six Betsafe-LKL teams win in the first round of the KMT, Juventus (fifth place last season) and CBet (sixth place) will automatically advance to the quarter-finals.
The remaining four teams that win in the first round will meet in the second round. The four teams will be paired by lottery and will play two games at home and away.
In the quarterfinals, the four strongest clubs from the previous season will join the four teams that have passed the national team: Kaunas “Žalgiris”, Vilnius “Rytas”, Panevėžys “Lietkabelis” and Klaipėda “Neptūnas”.
The KMT final four will take place in 2021. February 13-14 The host city of the tournament has not yet been announced.
