Today, around 4 pm, in the Nemunas near the Panemunė Bridge, firefighters rescuers found the body of an alexotheist whose wife was missing on Monday night. It turned out that he had died trying to navigate from Panemunė to Šančiai, but, about fifteen meters from the finish, he was devastated on the river grass.

On the fact that this 1971 Kaunas resident, who was born in 2006, possibly went swimming in the Nemunas with his friends and did not return, the General Assistance Center reported Monday around 11 p.m.

Initially, the police, who were looking for him on their own, called for the help of firefighters and rescuers shortly before midnight. His ship, which was also navigated by a police officer, was used to search a three-kilometer stretch of the Nemunas near the Panemunė Bridge with the help of a heat-sensitive thermal imaging camera. However, neither the river nor its banks were found missing.

It was decided to continue their search during daylight hours. Today around 1 pm, fire rescue divers returned to the alleged disaster site on the Panemunė Bridge. After a few hours of searching, the drowning was seen from a fireboat tangled in the grass at the “Rimtis” funeral palace in Šančiai.
