The artist had a distinctive style, her watercolors are similar to arabesques, characterized by combinations of warm and cold tones, vibrant or spontaneous translucent strokes, various textures, free composition. R.Kmieliauskaitė created etchings, exlibris and picture books with watercolors.

Watercolor artist R. Kmieliauskaitė organized exhibitions in Lithuania and foreign countries: France, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, the United States.
