FIBA announced a new selection window system on Friday morning and officially announced that it would go the way of the NBA.

National teams will no longer play field trips and home games, and all games will take place in separate bubbles. They will test players for coronavirus tests, and the rooms where the teams will live will be constantly monitored from the outside environment.

It is added that there will be 4 or 8 national teams (groups 1 or 2) in a bubble.

Information on when and in which countries (cities) the windows will take place is not yet published.

According to previously published information, the selection windows were to take place in November 2020 and February 2021.

In the selection for Euro 2021, the Lithuanian team has currently played two matches. Initially, Darius Maskoliūnas’ students lost 65:86 to the Belgian team, and in the second match they defeated the Czech Republic 97:89.

The Lithuanians were left with two games with Denmark and a meeting with the Belgian and Czech national teams.
