After the San Antonio Spurs team ended the NBA title fight, Darius Songaila returned to Lithuania and assists the SK Minbra team that plays in the local amateur basketball league in Kaunas.

Songaila, who took the coach’s board in his hands, participated yesterday in the first game of SK Minbra (7-5) after the struggles of the KKML A subgroup continued.
Before going to work for the Spurs, Songaila played for this amateur team.
This season, Tautvydas Sabonis, assistant coach of Kaunas Žalgiris, was among the ranks of SK Minbra, scoring an average of 20.9 points, 13 rebounds and 10.3 assists.
SK Minbra is coached by Bronislav Sabeckas and Simas Juraitis, but Songaila shared his advice to basketball players at yesterday’s game.
His team eliminated the 22-point deficit in the fourth quarter, but finished 90:92 with Sporto Mania (11-1).
Gediminas Ratkevičius scored 22 points on team SK Minbra, Gediminas Velička added 21 points.
Deividas Rinkūnas scored 23 points for the winners, Martynas Linkevičius added 18 points and 15 rebounds.
Songaila at Spurs Club is responsible for individual training with basketball players and their improvement. He returned to Lithuania in mid-August.
