The Vilnius County Police received notification of this leak on Thursday at 3:44 p.m.
The woman told officers she was driving her BMW when a bystander in her 60s deliberately collided with the side of her car in Naujamiestis, at the intersection of Kaunas and Švitrigailos streets. The man claimed to have been “beaten” and demanded compensation of 200 euros for failing to summon the police or prosecute. Not only that, the deceiver raised another condition: that the woman take him to the Station, just one kilometer away.
The fraudster who demanded compensation raised another condition: he wanted to be transported.
The hostess of a luxury car (a citizen of the Republic of Latvia) was not confused: due to unfounded demands, she first called the emergency phone and complained to the man to the police in the capital. The scammer, realizing that this time he would do nothing, had to urgently leave Algirdo Street.
Drivers had similar encounters with similar hairs on the streets of Vilnius in the past (see related articles), and scam programs were often targeting the fairer sex, in the hope that a more emotional reaction would prevent them from properly assessing the situation.
