Details of the explosion in an apartment building in Vilnius are becoming clearer: police suspect a crime

The explosion on the second floor of the apartment building occurred around 2 pm 30 minutes.

The falling remains injured two passing girls born in 2009. Doctors helped the children and passed it on to their parents.

Fiat Freemont and VW UP cars were also damaged.

Witnesses said the owner of the apartment that exploded, born in 1947, sat on the rubble after the disaster and yelled at passersby. He used to cause trouble for his neighbors and was constantly drunk.

Police suspect that the owner intentionally caused the explosion. It is believed that he deliberately cut off the gas.

Officials are further clarifying the circumstances of the incident and deciding whether to open a pretrial investigation into the destruction of property in a universally dangerous apartment.

The owner of the apartment himself was hospitalized due to multiple burns.

According to firefighters, the balcony was completely destroyed during the explosion, its structure was scattered on the road and on the sidewalk.

In the one-room apartment and outside there are household items.

Rescue teams removed 46 residents from the house.
