“Light has been chosen as the installation material for its physical and symbolic properties. It is intangible, but affected, it can heal and repress. This time, it defends the right of the Belarusian people to freedom of expression and reflects the repressive political regime by looking directly at it. We see you ”, says the artist, author of the installation Eglė Grėbliauskaitė.

The campaign is carried out by Lithuanian artists, visually supporting the repressed artist community in Belarus, and all those who fight for freedom of expression, human rights and democratic values. Participating artists: Andrius Seliuta, Aurelija Bulaukaitė, Greta Eimulytė, Linas Kuklerius, Norbert Hinc, write in a press release.

The international community also joins the artist’s campaign. On the solidarity with Belarus, on September 15 and 20, we will see Vilnius, Paris, Rome and other cities illuminated in white and red.
