Did not pass the board

On Sunday, a resident of the village of Blandžiai visited his daughter, because there was a potato farmer there. The man went to the outdoor wooden toilet and broke down. Since the man weighed more than 200 kg, no one could pull him out.

Family members went to the General Assistance Center for help. The nearest Rugėnai firefighters were soon dispatched to the disaster site, as well as Kėdainiai firefighters and ambulances.

I couldn’t get up

When special services rushed to Gegužių Street, it became clear that the man had half fallen in the open-air toilet, got caught on one of his legs and was unable to get up.

Firefighters had to dismantle the outdoor bathroom structures. They wrapped the man around the fire hose, pulled it out, and handed it over to the ambulance medics.

Doctors examined the man, but the victim did not have to be transported to a medical facility.

Not the first disaster

This year is truly fruitless for this man, because rescuers are rescuing him for the second time. In February, this man’s trip home on Sunday night almost ended in tragedy.

A seriously ill and overweight man fell in the field and was unable to get up. Fortunately, the man had a cell phone with him and was able to call for help.

Rescuers helped

Ambulances and firefighters arrived at the scene. Upon arrival, the Rugėnai firefighters picked up the man and handed him over to the doctors.

The man received medical attention from doctors, who was taken home and escorted to his room.

“Market Square” visited a man and his longtime friend. They thanked not only the doctors but also the firefighters for their help.

“Understand, my husband is very heavy. I don’t pick it up. There is no one in our town to lift it. And he’s terribly ill. We thank the rescuers for raising the man and the doctors for assisting him. Without them, we would not have been able to do anything, ”said the residents of Blandžiai village.
