This is a cave bear. These animals lived during the last ice age in Europe and died about 15,000 years ago.
“This finding is very important on a global scale,” said researcher Lena Grigorjeva. So far, only the bones and skulls of these bears have been found. The age of the find is estimated to be 39,500 years.

Shepherds found the body on the islands of New Siberia in the Arctic Ocean. Scientists hope that traces of cave bear DNA have survived, as mammoth remains have been found in Siberia. An international research project will be carried out, the university said.
Sensational finds have been found in Siberia on several occasions in recent years. Due to global warming, permafrost is melting in parts of Russia, opening up well-preserved fossils.
