On Sunday and Monday, a total of six new infections were registered in Uhan for the first time in a month. Those infected are residents of a residential complex for the elderly in Dongxihu district.

In the industrial city of Wuhan in central China, a new coronavirus was first detected in humans in late 2019. To control the virus, city-wide authorities have imposed quarantine for more than two months. Wuhan is considered a “low risk” area after restrictions were lifted more than four weeks ago. However, the risk of infection increased from “low” to “medium” in that residential neighborhood.

Uhane Covid-19 killed 3,869 people. Chinese agencies say the pandemic is under control in the country. At the same time, however, steps are being taken to prepare for the second wave of infection.
