Director and actor Petras Dimša died

P.Dimša graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography, where he acquired the specialty of film and television director. In 1965, together with the poet Martynas Vainilaitis, he founded the Boy’s Pea Theater.

Since 1971 he works on Lithuanian television. The actor has starred in popular television series: “Familiares”, “Dapkai y Butkai”.

A custodial sentence was imposed

In 2013, while intoxicated, P.Dimša caused an accident, during which a cyclist died. For this, he was sentenced to six years in prison in 2015, but in 2018, the Kaunas Regional Court decided to release the actor prematurely. Father Dimša spent more than two and a half years in the Pravieniškės Correctional Center.

The urn of the deceased will be fed on Thursday starting at 4 pm Vilnius Blessed Jurgis Matulaitis Church, Room 5 September 10. from 4 to 9 pm and on September 11. 12 pm you will be taken to Dzūkija for burial.
