One of them is Danielius, who grew up in the same nursing home and now participates in the semi-independent living program of the non-governmental organization SOS Children’s Villages in Lithuania, according to a sent press release.

“We remember Daniel since he was three years old. Together we grew up in the Alytus State Nursing Home and we noticed his penchant for art early on. He became an artistic soul, a kind young man with enormous potential. We strive to create the right environment for him, surround him with the right people and encourage him not to stop, ”the brothers Remigijus and Algirdas tell about their relationship with Daniel.

The three, Remigijus, Algirdas and Danielius, are still communicating. They often talk about everyday life, create siblings together in a drawing studio, share life experiences. The artists are happy that in one of the two projects, Daniel agreed to become a model. Remigijus and Algirdas draw a portrait of a young man; your job requires a lot of patience.

“We want to make sense of the long creative process, perseverance and the pursuit of goals. We have been drawing a portrait of Daniel for several years and we do not know when we will finish this work. At first, Daniel only posed for our work, and then he contributed his observations and comments, which were very helpful. With this work, we intend to show Daniel and other young people that diligence, professional skills and hard work can force us to look at life in a positive way and not stop pursuing our goals ”.

Support the young artist by buying his works

The young artist Daniel is happy with his first work, which we want to share with you. It is very important to support the young person and show him that these works are important not only for him but also for the general public. Not only would this increase your self-confidence, but it would also give you the opportunity to earn financial benefits that would make your difficult daily routine easier.

We invite you to buy Daniel’s works and support the talented children of the SOS village, to give them the opportunity to study, receive the necessary professional help and continue to pursue their dreams.

The young artist Danielius also participates in the SOS Children’s Villages semi-independent living program

Daniel himself is very modest and unwilling to take pride in his achievements. He talks little about himself, but he is pleased to currently participate in the SOS Children’s Villages Semi-Independent Living Program and is surrounded by professional social workers who are always ready not only to help or advise, but also to listen and push towards the goal.

“I feel safe in this organization and I know that I will always receive help. I recently did an internship here, during which I had the opportunity to create some of my own work that will be available to anyone who wants to buy. It is a real incentive for me as an artist on the move. Also, here I receive psychological support, which is very important and necessary for me, ”says the young man.

The participants of the SOS Children’s Village Youth Programs are young people who have turned 18 or have decided to start living independently. Those who grew up in the SOS Children’s Village at the age of 16 can move to the Youth Home, where they are preparing for independent life, gradually gaining more and more freedom for it, demanding more and more responsibility for it. They help them get an education and establish themselves in the job market. Even after moving out of the Youth Home and moving to live independently, it is still possible to participate in youth programs that aim to enable youth to take care of themselves.

As of 2015, not only children raised in SOS Children’s Villages can live in the Youth Home and participate in the programs. So even though Daniel grew up in other orphanages, he found help and support at SOS Children’s Villages after adulthood.

Talent alone is not enough to become an artist

Daniel, seeing the example of the Readyeck brothers, patiently pursues his goal and believes that he can connect life with art. Not only did he graduate from the MK Čiurlionis National School of Arts, but he also continues his knowledge at Vilnius College, where he studies graphic design. The boy also visits the brothers’ drawing studio.

“I became interested in art when I was a child, living in a nursing home. Berods, I was four years old then. A little later, I entered an art school in the capital and now I am studying. I am still searching for myself, but I would describe my creation as a discovery of something new and an understanding of infinity. Well, I am inspired by the reality of what life, ”he says.

Remigijus and Algirdas say that talent alone is not enough to become an artist. You need to work hard every day to improve your technique. Even better: when you can see your work from the side, listen to the advice. That is why when interacting with Daniel, the brothers are eager to share creative advice and at the same time seek the best solutions for their creations.
