All the pups are already in a safe environment for them: Jolanta Girdvainė, director of the municipal administration of the Kretinga district, was happy to report to the news portal on Friday evening. He stressed that they hardly received any signals from the civilian population, in this case, the representatives of all the responsible institutions quickly focused on a common goal and resolved the inhumane situation in just a few hours.

15 minutes Today he talked about a dog detective in the Kretinga district: residents looking for a pet, as it seemed at first, unmasked an underground kennel.

Shrunken and scared dogs are kept in horrible and unsanitary conditions in small pens, without food or water. Urine and feces fumes in the room. Animal lover Veronika, who searched for a missing (possibly even stolen) Scottish Terrier in the Kretinga district and found this object, shared such sad impressions on Facebook.

J. Girdvainė, head of the local municipal administration, said that she learned about this matter until Friday afternoon. However, action was taken immediately.

The police visited the place repeatedly and, more importantly, representatives of the Veterinary Service assessed the conditions in which the dogs were kept. The latter’s verdict was harsh: the conditions are inappropriate. Furthermore, it was stated that the hostess of the farm has no right to participate in animal husbandry at all.

This resident of the Kretinga district is said to have already been punished for similar illegal activities in the past.

In order to stop torturing the closed and dirty dogs, which lacked air, they were soon taken to the shelter of the “Nuaras” company. The guardians have already managed to find the owner of a dog under the chip, it is true that he claims to have sold his pet and has no claims.

Representatives of the services are further investigating who is the owner of the dozens of dogs found on the site, as well as the penalties that can be imposed on the resident who has “cared” them in this way.

“Thank you very much for an active community,” the Kretinga district repeated. Director of the Municipal Administration J.Girdvainė.
