Lucille and Marvin were married in the 1960s in a small Lutheran church in Sterling, Nebraska, USA Marvin was almost 29 at the time and Lucille 22.
“It was a typical wedding. We had a pastor for whom it was our first wedding ceremony … He was a bit upset, but everything went well and he married us, ”said Marvin.
“My dad cried. He was the only one crying, ”Lucille added. “My mom was glowing, and in black they both thought Marvin was perfect, which helps when your parents like the person you’re going to marry.”
The couple had three children. After spending six decades together, Stone claims that their family values and love have stood the test of time.
“We didn’t always agree, but we always had one main goal, so everything moves,” Marvin told KHGI-TV.
“Our values are similar, so everything worked out quite well, and I don’t know, we never considered the possibility of a difference.” As Lucille explained, Black thought the marriage was eternal from day one.
“You are doing what you have to do, and it in no way means that our marriage is perfect. We had disputes. We had disagreements, but we almost always agreed on important things. “
