Kaziliūnaitė has been appointed deputy director of STT

Until now, the director of STT, Žydrūnas Bartkus, had two alternates: Jovitas Raškevičius and Egidijus Radzevičius.

As reported by the STT, the new Deputy Director will be responsible for the STT’s anti-corruption analytical intelligence and corruption prevention activities.

“By appointing the third deputy director of the STT, the president seeks systemic changes in the development of Lithuania’s transparency policy, paying particular attention to the prevention of corruption, increasing the anti-corruption culture and awareness of the public,” announced the president.

According to the report, the third deputy position has been vacant since 2007.

R. Kaziliūnaitė graduated from Vilnius University with a Master of Laws and has been working in the position headed by STT for seven years.

For the past two years, R. Kaziliūnaitė has been the head of STT’s Corruption Prevention Board, formerly: STT’s Board of Directors, STT’s International Law and Cooperation Division.

Before joining STT, R. Kaziliūnaitė worked as legal advisor to President Dalia Grybauskaitė.

In December 2017, R. Kaziliūnaitė received the STT Third Grade Badge of Honor for his exemplary and impeccable service.

Under the Special Investigation Service Act, the deputy directors of the STT are appointed and removed by the president on the recommendation of the director of the STT.
