On November 1, 2017, a car driven by a member of an organized group with cargo of hashish headed towards Russia, but was stopped by police officers in the Utena district. After the search, officers removed 93 kg of packaged hashish from hiding places in the body and the cabin.
A prisoner, who was living in Spain at the time, was arrested and transferred to Lithuania under a European arrest warrant.
This judgment of the Panevėžys Regional Court can be appealed.
