SFVS reminds how school meals should be organized in schools

[ad_1]

The schools or catering establishments that operate in them must ensure that information on the need for personal hygiene (hand hygiene, cough, sneeze etiquette, etc.) is provided in a visible place at the entrance to the dining room, adequate facilities for hand hygiene of staff and students, service personnel Use protective equipment (masks, respirators or other equipment), tables, chairs, etc. in a closed catering establishment and / or dining room. Inventory and frequently touched surfaces are properly cleaned and disinfected.

Pupils should be avoided and kept aligned at least 1 meter away. When organizing meals, it is also necessary to adhere to the requirements of the Description of the procedure for organizing children’s meals: children should be fed according to the menus, not use prohibited products for meals.

The OV decisions oblige the directors of Primary, Basic and Secondary Education to adjust the breaks during which students eat to reduce the number of students in the dining room and organize meals according to a pre-established schedule.

If the feeding of children is provided in the course of non-formal education activities for children, priority will be given to the organization of meals in the premises where the activities take place. If this is not possible, meals can only be arranged in common dining rooms, only children from the same group should sit at a table and a distance of 2 meters should be ensured between children seated at different tables.

Buffet meals cannot be arranged with children. The dining room should be ventilated and cleaned after each class (group).

In the case of higher education, vocational training and non-formal adult education activities, the same requirements apply to the organization of catering as to cafeterias, restaurants or other catering establishments that carry out normal activities.

The SFVS notes that in view of the ever-changing epidemiological situation of the novel COVID-19 coronavirus, OV’s decisions are being updated accordingly. Information relevant to catering establishments can also be found on the SFVS website.
