Changes in the organization of work will begin. Danske Bank will open an office building in the DC Valley in Vilnius on Friday.
Aist Readyeckien, director of Danske Bank’s Global Service Center, says the unresolved coronavirus epidemic keeps us constantly thinking about the needs and uses of real estate (RE).
The whole bank, I mean, on a global scale, Lithuania will not only show what it has been working on remotely for three or four months, but opens the door to an infinite number of other ways of working, of providing service, etc. Aiku, on the other hand, appears and to some extent until (…) We really keep raising our minds very difficult to understand, and how much is needed and of what kind (BNS workspace), A. Readyeckien told reporters.
It does not rule out the possibility that the volume of properties used in the future will be reduced or optimized.
It is clear that it will probably be possible to find an optimization solution in our portfolio of seven or more buildings (…) We have a fixed-term contract, he says.

About 1,000 jobs have been created in the new building. During the past year, the number of Danske Bank employees increased to 4,000. A. Készeckien said that he does not expect a large increase in the number of employees in the near future.
Certainly, we should not be watching the arrival of the year, but we will continue to strengthen all our skills, technical knowledge and the like, so that fluctuations can occur. (…) We do not have the vision to double (the number of employees at BNS), says A. Gépeckien.
Representatives of the bank informed BNS that the hiring is taking place, there are currently around 100 job advertisements.
According to A. Buepeckiens, the latest office building in the city of Danske reflects the changes in the bank’s work organization as it is fully adapted to work in flexible teams and responds to Danske Bank’s aspirations to be an innovative organization and in constant adaptation, informs the bank.
Vilnius Mayor Remigijus imaius says the bank continues to grow.
Sometimes when it seems that you have already reached the ceiling, you suddenly realize that you are going further and further, this applies to both Danske Bank and Vilnius, for all future investments in the city (…) I hope participate in the opening of a new building and see even more working for this bank in Vilnius, the mayor spoke at the opening ceremony.
The Better Bank phase, launched last year, is dedicated to changes in the organization of work. By adapting common working principles among start-ups, also called Agile in English, the bank is moving towards a flexible working group (Tribes and Squads) and a simpler structure connecting specialists from different professions.
The goal is to operate more efficiently, give employees even more autonomy to make important decisions, and respond more quickly to changing customer needs.
