Looking for another shame? Bayern’s triumph could cost Barcelona millions more

Barcelona’s quarterfinals in the Champions League suffered their biggest defeat in 80 years, with Catalan Coutinho, who reappeared at Bavaria this season and made the switch, making a successful pass and scoring Bayern’s last two goals.

In January 2018, Coutinho moved to Liverpool from Barcelona for € 154 million, making him the most expensive club player of all time. However, the Brazilian in Spain did not match the path in England, so last summer Barça provided offensive security to the German team.

The sale of the Liverpool team to Coutinho has included the condition that Barcelona will have to pay an additional 5 million euros if Brazil wins the Champions League during the Catalan period. That condition did not say that the title had to be won by Barça.

This means that, in the event of Bayern’s triumph in the Champions League, Barcelona will lose an additional 5 million euros to Liverpool, champions of England. Bayern will meet Manchester City, winner of the Lyon quarter-finals, in the semi-finals.

Coutinho has defended 11 goals in 36 games this season in defense of the Munich team.
