Police detain drug traffickers in the field daily.

Friday, May 8, at approximately 12:30 p.m. In Vilnius, on Meistrų Street, in the “lower field”, where only an illegal brick building and an emergency post office built during the Soviet era remained, police officers noticed one woman (born 1984): He was giving something to people prone to drug use on the train tracks, and who got off the rails for a while and after a short time came back and something happened again.

Police in the capital decided to stop the woman immediately and check the place where she was hiding something. And this time the talent of the officials did not deceive: 107 aluminum leaflets with light powder, possibly narcotic, were found in the hidden cache, among the stones (this is a large amount, according to research by specialists, a woman may face up to 10 years in prison).

The woman had no choice but to admit that the “doses” found belonged to her. After an immediate search of the social housing provided by the Vilnius city municipality, police officers found two rolls of aluminum foil on the stove, one of which contained fragments of aluminum foil prepared for drug storage. and about 400 euros, possibly obtained by criminal means.

A pre-trial investigation into the illegal disposal of narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances was launched with the aim of distributing them (article 260 (1) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania).

Last week, Vilnius City Second Police officers did not allow drug traffickers to breathe easier, on May 6. They arrested a well-known woman (born in 1991) who, after acquiring drugs, hid them in her genitals. Up to 15 “doses” were found wrapped in aluminum foil.

An immediate search at the home of a woman who sold drugs (born 1983) found money that could be obtained through criminal means, means to pack drugs, and scales to weigh drugs. The police know the woman well, as she was previously convicted of drug trafficking and other crimes. She was subjected to the most severe preventive detention.

A detainee in a taxi carried 72 aluminum leaflets with carfentanil, hiding the cargo in underwear.

May 7, the capital Statybininkų st. Officials also arrested a woman (born 1977): she was taking a taxi with 72 aluminum leaflets containing a possible drug, carfentanil, hidden in her underwear. A search of the woman’s home revealed ways to pack the drugs.

Carfentanil is recognized as one of the most powerful substances, so the probability of overdose is very high. Merchants produce more than 5,000 brochures per gram of pure carfentanil, better known to consumers as ready-to-use “checks”.

The distribution of this substance with impurities has been repeatedly mentioned in the public sphere, as a result of which many deaths have been recorded. In these specific cases, both suspects are alleged to have possessed such a drug.

Police officers point out that detained women have a long history of drug use, that they are tempted by high-risk activities and easy money to earn.

Only when law enforcement officials are suspected of committing specific criminal offenses, and when the court imposes strict preventive detention (arrests) measures, do people realize the risks of criminal behavior and the harm caused to society .
