On Wednesday, SBGS officers detained a man arriving from a flight from the English capital, London, at Vilnius airport.
During a document check, border guards discovered that the search for a 27-year-old man living in Vilnius had been announced by the capital’s police a year and a half ago. A Vilnius resident is suspected of committing a crime.
Border guards detained the passenger and took him to the firewall facility. The man was handed over to the convoy arriving from the initiator of the search.
That same afternoon, border guards working at Vilnius airport verified the documents of passengers arriving from Casablanca via Paris and Amsterdam.
During the inspection, it was discovered that a passenger, a 34-year-old resident of Kaunas, is having trouble with the police. Kaunas police announced the search for a man suspected of committing a crime just a month ago.
Border guards informed the initiator of the search about the arrest of the wanted person and soon handed the Kaunas resident over to the police officers who arrived at the airport.
2020 1225 people, who were wanted by Lithuanian and foreign police institutions due to various crimes and violations, were involved in the SBGS officials, reports the SBGS.
