Lithuanian journalists express support for persecuted colleagues in Belarus and offer help

“We, the editors of the Lithuanian media, express our solidarity with the journalists persecuted in Belarus. We condemn the persecution of journalists by the Belarusian authorities, the restriction of Internet access and other obstacles to the performance of their duties.” the statement said.

“Arrests and violence against journalists have no place in Europe in the 21st century. We call for an immediate end to these acts of persecution, which violate the citizens’ right to information, “said the journalists.
