During the pre-trial investigation, FNTT officials found that not all sales revenue was included in the accounting records of the company that carried out construction works and traded construction materials in Klaipėda. The investigation revealed that in more than two years, the company did not include 55 transactions with a value of more than 56 thousand. of which sales revenue amounted to almost 47 thousand. euros.

During the pre-trial investigation it was established that the company that hired the workers to carry out various construction works did not also count the wages paid.

In more than two years, 7 workers were unofficially paid almost 26,000 in cash. 92 of those payments were accounted for.

A survey of company employees revealed that they received part of their salary officially, by bank transfer, and that the director of the company allegedly gave part in cash, arguing that it was a bonus for their work.

FNTT officials estimated that the damage caused to the state by the actions of the company and its manager amounted to almost 33,000. both taxes and contributions were unpaid.

The prosecutor of the Second Prosecution Division of the Klaipėda Regional Public Prosecutor’s Office, who organized and controlled the pre-trial investigation, referred the case to the court for examination by criminal order. After examining the case, the Klaipėda Chamber of the Klaipėda District Court allocated 8,000 LTL to the construction company and 5,000 LTL to its director. EUR fines.
